Magnetic Pen Holder

Hi guys!

If you’re new to this blog, welcome!
For any experienced readers, Thank You for sticking around!  🙂

When I first moved to an apartment with two girlfriends, I used to just wing it when it got to doing shopping for groceries. I was really lazy, and never gave a thought about what I needed, except milk and bread, the essentials. When I got the supermarket I would just comb through the aisles, looking for stuff that would “ring a bell”. Or that were new and interesting looking.

Obviously I spent a lot more money that way. Not ideal for a girl living in a roommate apartment.

All you need is a pen holder, glue gun and some good thick magnets, which I got from a crafts store. You can ever spray paint the pen holder in whatever color that fits your kitchen - it's exactly what I did :)

Since then I moved in with, now my husband, Dani, and feeding two people has become something that requires a little more food and planning. So we began keeping a list on the fridge, and this system is working for us to this day.

But now I have to keep a pen near the fridge! And with my OCD I hate that it just lies around, or worse that my husband took it someplace in the house and forgot to put it back. Did I mention OCD? 😀 It’s bad. The need for organization produced a solution, that I gladly share with you 🙂

Choose a less attractive side of the pen holder, which you'd like to hide, and glue two of magnets in the center. Leave until the glue hardens - about 3 minutes. Remove any glue threads, and you're done!

Btw I’m sorry for the frequency of these posts… I’m still trying to figure out how to balance blogging with having a full-time job. Thank you for sticking around, I have lots more DIY and sewing projects coming up!
Also I am contemplating on getting a new camera and improving the quality of the imagery 🙂 I’m excited for that!

Have fun and happy weekend!
